Bioinformatics is a cross-disciplinary field and there is a need to provide cross-functional training to professionals from a wide variety of backgrounds. In order to make Bioinformatics training accessible to everyone in a convenient form, we have designed web-based courses that can be taken at your convenience and completed as per individual schedules in a self-paced manner. Our courses are built gradually from the ground up and therefore can be done by professionals from diverse backgrounds. We currently have students from US, Europe and Asia who are biologists, physicians and software engineers with a BS, MS, MBA, MD or Ph.D.

We use a functional problem-solving approach in our teaching. In the words of one of our students, "I whole heartedly support the PerlSource teaching methodology. I have always found that learning things in an application context is the fastest way to acquire a significant understanding of the subject. I also believe that reading important journal papers and thinking about the research problems therein is vastly superior to being led by the hand through a textbook.". More information on our techniques is available under Teaching methodology. To request course details and to register for our courses, please send us the completed Application Form via email to courses@PerlSource.net
